About raw honey

Our real, raw honey is a natural source of fructose and glucose. It contains many essential minerals, such as potassium, magnesium and calcium and bioactive compounds, like flavonoids, phenolic acids and natural enzymes.

The health benefits of raw honey

Raw honey is rich in antioxidants that can support cellular health. It can support healthy cholesterol levels when replacing sugar, help soothe coughs and throat discomfort and supports digestive wellness through a healthy gut microbiome. Honey provides a quick, natural energy boost - perfect for those on the go.

Raw honey also contains pollen from the vast array of flowers that are collected by the bees. These small doses of pollen can help to relieve hayfever symptoms by desensitising the body to local allergens.

Raw means minimally processed

Before our honey reaches you...

  • We cold-extract, meaning the honey is simply spun out of the comb and collected
  • We only ever warm our honey gently, to ensure that the natural enzymes are retained
  • We filter but not on a fine mesh, to allow the natural pollen grains to remain

As our honey is raw and natural, this means that it will, inevitably, crystallise over time. It is perfectly edible in this state. However, if you prefer it softer, then gently heat the jar in some warm water and it will return to a liquid state.

Honey and infants

Do not give honey to infants under one year due to the risk of botulism.
